Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of our services and website. By booking an appointment, purchasing a gift card, package, or membership, or using our website, you agree to these terms in full. We encourage you to read them carefully before your first visit.

Amun is a massage studio based in Guildford. Our aim is to provide exceptional therapeutic massage in a calm, professional environment. These terms exist to ensure clarity for both you and our team, so that every visit feels seamless from booking to departure.

Booking Your Appointment

Appointments must be booked at least three hours in advance and can be scheduled up to 90 days ahead. When you select a time slot during the booking process, that slot is held for ten minutes while you complete your booking. If the booking is not finalised within this window, the slot becomes available again for other clients.

Our booking system offers appointments in 30 minute intervals. Between each session, we allow time for our therapists to prepare the room and refresh themselves, ensuring every client receives our full attention from the moment they arrive.

Opening Hours

We are open seven days a week from 6:00am to 10:30pm. Availability within these hours depends on therapist schedules, which you can view when making your booking online.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled time. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice will receive a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice cannot be refunded, as this time cannot be reallocated to another client.

The same 24 hour notice applies to rescheduling. You are welcome to move your appointment to any available slot provided you give us sufficient notice. Refunds are processed to your original payment method and typically appear within five to ten business days.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you, though your session may need to be shortened to avoid affecting the next client. The full session fee applies regardless of late arrival. If you are running late, please call us so we can advise you accordingly.

Missed Appointments

If you do not arrive for your appointment and have not contacted us, this is recorded as a missed appointment. Missed appointments are treated the same as late cancellations and no refund will be issued. Repeated missed appointments may affect your ability to book with us in future.

Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. All prices are displayed in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

Gift Cards

Gift cards make a thoughtful present and can be purchased in fixed amounts of £80, £110, £150, or £200, or as a custom amount between £50 and £500. Gift cards can be delivered digitally by email or posted as a physical card for an additional £3 delivery fee.

Gift card purchases are final and non refundable. The balance on a gift card can be used across multiple visits until fully redeemed. Gift cards are valid for three years from the date of purchase and can be used by anyone in possession of the gift card code. You can check your remaining balance at any time by visiting amunmassage.co.uk/balance.

Session Packages

We offer two session packages for clients who wish to commit to regular massage.

The Solo rewards loyalty with flexibility. You pay for four sessions and receive five, with the freedom to choose any massage type and duration for each visit. Sessions must be booked within 12 months of purchase. The Solo is linked to your client account and cannot be shared.

The Duo is designed for two people to share. You pay for six sessions and receive eight, with the freedom to choose any massage type and duration for each visit. Partners, friends, or family members can book separately and split the sessions however they like. Sessions must be booked within 12 months of purchase.

All package purchases are final and non refundable. Unused sessions cannot be refunded or transferred to another person. Sessions must be booked within 365 days of purchase, after which any remaining sessions will expire.

Memberships

Memberships are for clients who want massage woven into their regular rhythm. With a single upfront payment, you receive unlimited sessions for the duration of your membership. We offer six month and twelve month options at 60, 90, or 120 minute session lengths.

Twelve month members enjoy priority booking for evening and weekend appointments. Enhancements can be added to every session for a one time upgrade fee at the point of purchase.

All membership purchases are final and non refundable. Unused time cannot be refunded or transferred to another person. Memberships are linked to your client account and cannot be shared. All appointments must fall within your membership validity period.

Discount Codes

From time to time we may issue discount codes for use on our services. Each code has its own terms, which may include restrictions on usage, minimum purchase amounts, expiry dates, or limitations to specific services or durations. Only one discount code can be used per booking. If you cancel a booking that used a discount code, the discount is not reissued.

Health and Safety

Medical Conditions

Massage therapy is not suitable for everyone. Before your first appointment, we ask that you inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or medications that may affect your treatment. Certain conditions may require written consent from your doctor before we can proceed.

If you are unsure whether massage is appropriate for you, please consult your healthcare provider before booking. Our therapists reserve the right to modify or decline treatment if they believe it may not be in your best interest.

Pregnancy

We offer pregnancy massage for clients who are past their first trimester. Please inform us of your pregnancy when booking so we can ensure you are matched with a suitably trained therapist and that appropriate techniques are used throughout your session.

Age Requirements

Clients must be 18 years or older to book an appointment. Clients aged 16 or 17 may receive treatment with written parental consent and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who remains on the premises during the session.

Liability

While our therapists are fully trained and insured, massage therapy carries inherent risks. By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have disclosed all relevant health information and accept responsibility for any consequences arising from undisclosed conditions. Our liability is limited to the cost of the treatment provided.

Client Conduct

We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for both our clients and our therapists. We expect all clients to behave appropriately and treat our team with courtesy and respect.

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a session immediately if a client behaves in a manner that is inappropriate, threatening, or makes our therapists feel uncomfortable. In such cases, no refund will be issued. Clients who repeatedly breach these standards may be permanently declined service.

Please arrive for your appointment having showered recently and free from strong fragrances. We ask that you silence your phone during your session to maintain the peaceful atmosphere for all clients.

Communications

When you book with us, we will send you confirmation and reminder emails to the address you provide. We also send SMS reminders 24 hours before your appointment to help ensure you do not miss your session. You can manage your communication preferences, including opting out of SMS reminders, through your client account.

Our newsletter requires double opt in, meaning you must confirm your subscription before receiving any marketing emails. Every newsletter includes a one click unsubscribe option. We will never share your contact details with third parties for marketing purposes.

Privacy and Your Data

We collect only the information necessary to provide our services: your name, email address, phone number, and optionally your postal address for gift card delivery. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe and is not stored on our systems.

Your data is used solely for managing your bookings, processing payments, and communicating with you about your appointments. We retain certain records for legal and accounting purposes as required by law. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

Our website does not use tracking cookies for clients. Session information is used only for the technical operation of the booking system.

Website Use

To protect the quality of our service, we implement rate limiting on certain actions such as discount code validation and booking requests. If you encounter a temporary block, please wait a short while before trying again. This is a protective measure and is not a reflection of any issue with your account.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
