Some changes happen gradually, almost imperceptibly, until one day you look around and realise everything is different. Others arrive all at once, a clear line between what was and what comes next. For us, this moment is the latter. After months of quiet work behind the scenes, we’re ready to share what we’ve been building.
Our studio has been completely transformed. The space you’ll walk into bears little resemblance to what came before, though the care and intention behind every treatment remains exactly the same. We’ve moved walls, replaced flooring, rebuilt the atmosphere from the ground up. The result is something we’ve dreamed about for a long time: a space that feels peaceful from the moment you arrive, designed entirely around your comfort and wellbeing.
A space reimagined
The renovation began with a simple question. What would a treatment room feel like if every detail was chosen with purpose? Not decorated, but considered. Not filled, but curated.
Natural oak flooring now runs throughout the studio, warm underfoot and quietly grounding. A bespoke walnut feature wall anchors the space, its rich grain adding depth without distraction. The lighting has been entirely rethought, soft panel illumination that can shift from bright and energising to dim and restful depending on your treatment. Even the paint on the walls was selected to complement the natural materials, creating a palette that feels calm and cohesive.
The furniture tells its own story. Every piece was chosen individually, from the real-wood shelving to the premium fabrics on the seating. Nothing was purchased as a set or selected from a catalogue for convenience. We wanted each element to feel intentional, and we took our time finding pieces that belonged together.
At the heart of the room sits our new massage bed, sourced from one of the most respected professional brands in the industry. Spa-grade equipment makes a genuine difference to your experience. The cushioning supports your body properly throughout longer treatments. The heating elements warm evenly and maintain temperature. The face cradle adjusts precisely. These details matter more than most people realise, and we refused to compromise on any of them.
A new name, a clearer identity
Alongside the physical transformation, we’ve taken another significant step. Our studio now operates under a new name: AMUN.
This wasn’t a decision we made lightly. A name carries meaning, and changing it felt like a statement that required conviction. But as the renovation progressed and the new space took shape, we realised that our previous identity no longer reflected who we had become. The studio had evolved beyond its origins, and the name needed to evolve with it.
AMUN represents clarity of purpose. It speaks to the calm and balance we want every client to experience. It feels like us in a way that our old name, lovely as it was, no longer did. The team remains the same. The expertise remains the same. The commitment to your wellbeing remains the same. But the identity now matches the experience we’ve worked so hard to create.
Technology built around you
One transformation you won’t see immediately, but will certainly feel, is the complete rebuild of our booking system. Over the past two years, we tried several platforms and none of them met our standards. They were either cluttered with unnecessary features, slow to load, or required you to create accounts and remember passwords just to book a massage.
We decided to build our own system from scratch. Working with a professional development team, we created something that reflects our values: minimal, fast, and respectful of your privacy. There are no third-party tools handling your purchases or bookings. No accounts required. No unnecessary data collection.
When you book with us, you’ll need only your name and email address. If you hold a package, membership, or gift card, your personal booking code handles everything automatically at checkout. Your remaining sessions, balance, or membership status appears instantly. No logging in, no password recovery, no friction between you and your appointment.
My husband’s background in cyber security guided every technical decision. Privacy isn’t a line in our marketing. It’s something we genuinely care about, built into the foundation of how we operate.
Our gift card collection
With the new studio comes a new approach to gift cards. We’ve invested in commercial-grade printing technology, the same equipment used by banks for card production, to ensure every gift card we produce has a premium edge-to-edge finish. These aren’t vouchers printed on paper. They’re physical cards that feel substantial and look beautiful, worthy of the gift they represent.
Three elegant designs are now available, each reflecting a different aspect of what we do. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, saying thank you, or simply treating someone you care about, these cards make the gesture feel considered. They arrive ready to give, no additional wrapping required.
Treatments refined
Our core offerings remain unchanged: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Lava Shell, Scalp and Shoulder, and Maternity massage. Each treatment is available in the duration that makes sense for the work involved, from focused sixty-minute sessions to luxurious two-hour appointments.
We’ve quietly extended our longest treatment option to one hundred and twenty minutes for most massage types, responding to clients who wanted more time for comprehensive full-body work. At this duration, your therapist can address every area of your body without watching the clock, working at an unhurried pace that allows for genuine therapeutic benefit.
Our Lymphatic Drainage treatments have become one of our most requested therapies. This gentle technique supports your body’s natural detoxification processes, reduces swelling, and restores energy flow. It’s particularly valuable after illness, surgery, or periods of reduced movement, and it’s become one of our proudest specialities.
Pricing that reflects the experience
As part of this evolution, we’ve updated our pricing structure for the first time since early 2024. The investment in our studio, equipment, technology, and overall experience has been substantial, and our prices now reflect the standard of care we provide.
Sixty-minute treatments are now seventy-nine pounds. Ninety-minute sessions are one hundred and nine pounds. Our two-hour treatments are one hundred and thirty-nine pounds. Fifteen-minute add-ons, which allow you to extend any treatment or include targeted work on a specific area, are twenty-five pounds.
We considered making this change quietly, simply updating the numbers on our website without explanation. But that didn’t feel right. You deserve to understand what you’re paying for and why. The price increase reflects genuine investment in every aspect of your experience, from the moment you book online to the moment you leave the studio feeling restored.
We remain competitively priced for Guildford and the surrounding area. Premium spas in our region typically charge between eighty-five and one hundred and thirty pounds for a sixty-minute treatment. Our pricing positions us where we believe we belong: premium but accessible, confident in our quality without being exclusionary.
What comes next
This reveal marks the beginning of a new chapter, not the end of our evolution. In the coming weeks, we’ll introduce new membership options for clients who want regular massage as part of their ongoing wellness routine. We’re also finalising additional package offerings that provide flexibility and value for different needs.
